Disassembly Associate - Production - 2nd shift

In addition to your regular production associate duties, the Slicer Dis-Assembly Associate 2nd shift will be responsible for cleaning and dis-assembling the slicers and/or butcher knives.

Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 1:30pm to 11:50pm

To succeed in the Slicing Disassembly role you must:

• Be in good standing.
• Demonstrate competency in the assembly/disassembly process.
• Have attention to detail.
• Good mechanical aptitude, demonstrated via the Mechanical aptitude test and observation.
• Possess a teamwork mentality and the desire to help others succeed.
• Have a strong attendance and punctuality record.

Your Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in food manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of food safety and quality standards.
• Ability to follow instructions with ease.

Your Skills & Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English.
• Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms or legs to perform job tasks.
• Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product. This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups.
• The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties.
• The ability to work in cold (32 to 45*F) and wet environment with air flow from refrigeration units.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Exposure to low level of noise due to close proximity to the work area.
• Exposure to uneven ground; floor angles toward the drainage systems.
• Light machinery operated in work area.

Health & Safety Requirements:

• Observe and follow all safety rules.
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
• Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
