We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Leave of Absence & Workers' Compensation Coordinator to support the administration of leave, disability, workers compensation, and accommodation programs. In this role, youll serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders while helping ensure compliance, accuracy, and outstanding customer service.

What Youll Do

As the Leave of Absence & Workers' Compensation Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day administration and case management support for leave and workers compensation programs. You will partner closely with employees, managers, HR, payroll, external vendors, and insurance carriers to ensure cases are managed effectively and employees receive timely guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer routine leave of absence and disability cases in accordance with company policies and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Communicate leave requirements, deadlines, benefit information, and return-to-work expectations to employees and managers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, payroll partners, HR team members, and absence management vendors regarding leave and workers compensation matters.
  • Coordinate workers compensation claims, including claim reporting, documentation collection, employee outreach, and ongoing claim administration.
  • Monitor leave, disability, and workers compensation cases to ensure timely submission of documentation, compliance with deadlines, and accurate case resolution.
  • Maintain confidential records, case notes, correspondence, and system data across HR, payroll, leave, and workers compensation platforms.
  • Support workplace accommodation requests by coordinating documentation, tracking requests, and facilitating communications.
  • Prepare reports and maintain required records, including workers compensation logs, OSHA-related documentation, audits, data validation, and annual compliance activities.
  • Identify issues, discrepancies, or potential risks and escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration, human resources, leave administration, disability management, workers compensation, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Benefits Administration, or a related field.
  • Direct experience administering leave, disability, or workers compensation cases.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, workers compensation processes, and wage replacement benefits.
  • Experience working with HRIS, absence management, claims administration, or case management systems.

Pay Range: $33.00 - 41.00 per hour. We share our pay range because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance.
