General Function
This position provides leadership for Central Piedmonts Technology Training Institute (TTI), which supports all employees in collaborative professional learning and growth to support job performance, efficiencies, and Central Piedmont students in achieving their goals. The TTIs programming and services are designed to support both faculty and staff across all units and employee classifications.
The Director will oversee the work of professional staff members, including technology trainers, who will be focused on innovative approaches to training and development, project management, and creating quality learning experiences. The Director will maintain constant awareness of trends in technology innovation, adult learning theory, and the facilitation of professional learning to diverse audiences.
This position is responsible for supporting the Institutes strategic planning, in partnership with the Associate Vice President of Organizational Learning and Development, providing coordination and oversight of face-to-face and asynchronous programming to support 24/7 employee training and development. The Director will work to develop strong relationships between the Institute professional staff and partners in Information Technology Services (ITS), in the interest of providing the strongest possible outcomes for Central Piedmont faculty and staff
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the design and development, and delivery of face-to-face and online programming and resources that support employee performance and efficiency with technology.
Develops assessment reports reflective of Institute outcomes and collaborates with training staff and to make improvements based on this assessment.
Builds relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators across the college; creates mechanisms to assess their needs and interests related to professional learning and understanding of technology and tools.
Directs and coordinates the activities of the Technology Training Institute staff; implements strategies to ensure face to face and asynchronous programming, supports, and resources.
Works collaboratively with partners in Information Technology Services and external vendors to ensure successful and timely program development to support employee development.
Builds consensus across diverse stakeholder groups including college administration setting a strategic direction for the Technology Training Institute.
Makes presentations to internal and external audiences.
Other duties as assigned.
