Role Summary

RaceTrac is building the talent capabilities needed to support our continued growth. The Director, Talent & Development will build and lead the strategy, design, and evolution of our enterprise talent programs, including performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and employee growth. Partnering closely with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and HR Technology, this role helps ensure we attract, develop, and advance the talent needed to build a high-performing, future-ready organization.

This role is to be based in Atlanta, GA within RaceTrac's Store Support Center at 200 Galleria Pkwy, SE, Suite 900, Atlanta, GA

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or HR leadership.

  • Proven experience designing and leading enterprise talent programs, including performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into scalable solutions.

  • Experience influencing senior leaders and leading organizational change.

  • Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing teams.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Master's degree in a related field.

  • Experience supporting large, multi-site organizations with frontline and corporate employee populations.

  • Experience in retail, convenience, restaurant, hospitality, distribution, or similarly complex environments highly preferred.

  • Experience implementing or optimizing talent management technology.

  • Professional certifications in talent management, coaching, leadership development, or organizational development.

    Responsibilities:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead RaceTrac's enterprise talent strategy across performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and employee development.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on talent, organizational effectiveness, and workforce readiness.
    • Design and continuously improve performance management processes that drive accountability and results.
    • Lead enterprise succession planning and talent review processes, including identification of critical roles, talent risks, and leadership pipelines.
    • Develop scalable leadership and employee development programs that build organizational capability.
    • Own the annual talent operating rhythm, aligning performance, development, succession, and workforce planning activities.
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition to align internal mobility, succession planning, and external hiring strategies.
    • Leverage talent analytics and insights to inform decisions and measure organizational health.
    • Partner with HR Technology to optimize talent systems, reporting, and adoption.
    • Lead and develop a high-performing Talent & Development team and foster strong partnerships across HR and the business.

    Qualifications:
