Lead the people, partnerships and performance behind exceptional surgical care.

Sauk Prairie Healthcare | Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin

Some healthcare leadership positions are about maintaining an operation. This opportunity is about leading one forward.

Sauk Prairie Healthcare is seeking an accomplished, collaborative nursing leader to serve as our Director of Surgical Services. This highly visible leadership role provides oversight and direction for patient care across the Operating Room, Surgery Center and PACU and plays an important role in advancing the quality, efficiency and future of surgical care at Sauk Prairie Healthcare.

You'll work closely with physicians, anesthesia leadership, nursing professionals and organizational leaders to build an exceptional surgical experience for patients while creating an environment where talented people can do their best work.

    Why this role matters

The Director of Surgical Services has the opportunity to influence much more than day-to-day OR operations.

You'll lead a complex clinical operation while helping shape its future by aligning people, quality, capacity, resources and strategy. The current role includes establishing departmental goals and metrics aligned with SPH's strategic plan; making operating and capital budget decisions; developing new programs and services; leading performance improvement; and partnering on OR block utilization strategies.

If you're a surgical services leader who wants both operational responsibility and a meaningful voice in where the service line goes next, we'd like to talk with you.

    Who we're looking for

You're an experienced surgical nursing leader who understands that exceptional OR performance depends upon more than clinical expertise.

You know how to build trust with surgeons. You develop strong teams. You can move comfortably between a patient-care question, a staffing challenge, an operational bottleneck, a quality opportunity and a strategic discussion.

And when something needs to change, you don't simply manage the change. You bring people with you.

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
    • 3-5 years of clinical experience in a surgical setting.
    • At least 3 years of nursing management experience.
