The Director of Strategic Planning & Insights will lead the development and execution of strategic plans and data-driven insights to support Samsung Electronics America's (SEA) Corporate Strategy''s long-term growth objectives. This role will focus on analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations to drive business success.
Role and Responsibilities
Strategic Framework Development:
Develop and implement strategy plans to align with organizational goals and drive business growth.
Market Intelligence and Insights:
Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify trends, opportunities, and risks - to support competitive and new innovative strategies.
Strategic Initiatives:
Lead the identification, prioritization, and implementation of key strategic initiatives, ensuring they deliver on strategic objectives.
Strategic Opportunity Assessment:
Identify, evaluate, and develop new market opportunities and business models to drive growth; spearhead the creation of strategic business cases; Oversee development of strategic projects from inception to execution
Scenario Planning:
Develop multiple strategic scenarios to anticipate future market conditions, regulatory changes, or technological disruptions, preparing the organization for various outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize strategies and ensure alignment across business units.
Performance Metrics:
Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) that link strategic initiatives to tangible business outcomes.
Innovation Pipeline:
Oversee the alignment of innovation projects with strategic goals, ensuring investments in new ideas or technologies support long-term growth.
Communication of Strategy:
Effectively communicate strategic plans, insights, and progress to executives and cross-functional teams to secure buy-in and drive execution.
Risk Assessment:
Identify strategic risks and opportunities, developing proactive strategies for risk mitigation while capitalizing on emerging opportunities.
Strategic Meeting & Presentation Support:
Work with leadership to prepare senior leadership and cross-divisional level meetings and workshops including preparation of the agenda, presentation preparation, including all necessary backup analysis.
