The Director, Specialty Solutions plays a critical role in advancing our organization's specialty consulting services by bridging industry engagement, client delivery, product development, and internal operations. This leader is tasked to deliver high-quality consulting engagements, ensure client satisfaction, and shape innovative solutions that position our organization as a thought leader in the specialty space.


Responsibilities

  • Industry Engagement - Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client forums. - Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare executives, thought leaders, and strategic partners. - Monitor healthcare market trends, payer dynamics, and regulatory changes to anticipate client needs. - Contribute to thought leadership through white papers, case studies, and speaking engagements.
  • Product Development - Translate client feedback and engagement learnings into new product or service opportunities. - Provide input to internal teams on market demands and competitive differentiation. - Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and pilot new consulting offerings.
  • Client Management - Produce client deliverables and present them in a formal, professional manner to client leadership and stakeholders. - Serve as a trusted partner to clients, ensuring deliverables are on time, on scope, and exceeding expectations. - Partner with the Director of Business Operations to drive engagement milestones and action plan execution. - Escalate issues or scope changes to VP of Specialty Consulting and support development of additional Statements of Work (SOWs) or change orders. - Collaborate with Project Managers to create content and deliverables aligned with client engagement structures.
  • Data & Analytics - Oversee Analysts to interpret engagement data, benchmarks, and performance metrics. - Develop and present actionable insights and dashboards to clients and internal leadership. - Ensure analytics inform both immediate client outcomes and long-term strategic positioning.
  • Operational Support - Coordinate across internal functions to ensure seamless client engagement execution. - Align internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to support specialized client needs. - Develop client-facing deliverables while monitoring project scope adherence and resource allocation.
  • Strategy - Provide market insights and client intelligence to VP of Specialty Consulting to inform long-term strategy. - Contribute to the organization’s internal planning around specialty services growth, competitive positioning, and service innovation.
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites as needed


Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Pharmacy
  • 3 years Progressive pharmacy experience as a pharmacist
  • 3 years Previous management experience
  • MN Pharmacy License or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree
  • Working knowledge of 3rd party pay plans, working knowledge of all state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy in a specialty pharmacy setting, working knowledge of standard pharmacy financial and business principles
