This position is not focused on implementing basic SAP Core Finance capabilities. The environment already operates on S/4HANA. The priority is finding a leader who understands how S/4HANA Finance operates within a complex retail organization and can lead the modernization of an existing S/4HANA environment through RISE with SAP. The original position also emphasizes integration between Finance and merchandising, supply chain, POS, FP&A, treasury and analytics.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Director, SAP Technology Lead - Finance to lead a major SAP Finance transformation supporting a large-scale retail environment. This is a true Director-level leadership position requiring a combination of executive presence, hands-on SAP expertise, retail industry experience, and demonstrated success leading large enterprise SAP transformations.This position is not focused on implementing basic SAP Core Finance capabilities. The environment already operates on S/4HANA. The priority is finding a leader who understands how S/4HANA Finance operates within a complex retail organization and can lead the modernization of an existing S/4HANA environment through RISE with SAP. The original position also emphasizes integration between Finance and merchandising, supply chain, POS, FP&A, treasury and analytics.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation and modernization of an existing SAP S/4HANA Finance environment.
- Provide leadership around the organization's transition to RISE with SAP.
- Define SAP Finance technology strategy and architecture within a large-scale retail environment.
- Partner closely with Finance, technology and executive stakeholders.
- Ensure Finance solutions align with the broader SAP and retail technology ecosystem.
- Provide hands-on technical and functional leadership while maintaining an executive-level view of the transformation.
- Lead internal teams and external systems integration partners.
- Drive SAP design decisions with an emphasis on scalability, modernization, integration and long-term sustainability.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Significant leadership experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Direct experience with RISE with SAP.
- Experience leading large-scale SAP/S/4HANA transformations.
- Demonstrated experience transforming or modernizing an existing S/4HANA environment, rather than only implementing SAP from scratch.
- Retail industry experience is required.
- Understanding of how S/4HANA Finance operates within the larger retail ecosystem.
- Director-level leadership experience with responsibility for multiple teams.
- Ability to operate both hands-on and strategically.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with business and technology leadership.
