Position Summary: The Director of Revenue Cycle & Financial Analytics serves as a strategic partner across Revenue Cycle Operations, Finance, Accounting, Clinical Leadership, and Executive Management to drive enterprise-wide financial and operational transformation initiatives. This role combines advanced healthcare analytics, process redesign, automation, financial planning, and revenue cycle expertise to improve organizational performance, scalability, and profitability. The ideal candidate possesses deep healthcare revenue cycle knowledge, strong financial acumen, advanced technical capabilities, and a proven track record leading large-scale transformation initiatives in complex, high-growth healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities:
Revenue Cycle & Financial Transformation
- Partner with Revenue Cycle, Accounting, FP&A, and Operations to lead enterprise-wide revenue cycle and financial operations transformation initiatives that improve scalability, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
- Design and implement new operating models, workflows, and reporting structures that leverage modern data platforms and automation capabilities.
- Support integration and standardization efforts across newly acquired or affiliated practices, ensuring consistent reporting, forecasting, and performance management frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes through automation, AI, and advanced analytics.
Strategic Financial Analytics & Executive Decision Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, Finance, Revenue Cycle Operations, and Clinical stakeholders.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Influence organizational priorities through data-driven insights and measurable business outcomes.
- Develop executive-level reporting and analytics that provide actionable insights into revenue, profitability, reimbursement performance, productivity, and organizational growth.
- Deliver CFO-ready dashboards, scorecards, and financial performance reporting across payors, providers, service lines, and locations.
- Perform advanced variance analysis and business performance reviews to identify operational drivers and financial improvement opportunities.
Revenue Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Lead development and continuous enhancement of revenue and cash collection forecasting methodologies.
- Design automated forecasting models that improve predictability and reduce manual effort across Finance and Revenue Cycle teams.
- Partner with FP&A and Accounting to align operational performance metrics with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Build forecasting frameworks that connect operational drivers to financial outcomes and enable proactive decision-making.
Provider Compensation & Reimbursement Strategy
- Design, maintain, and enhance provider compensation models that align physician behavior with organizational strategic and financial objectives.
- Partner with executive and clinical leadership to evaluate provider productivity, compensation performance, and incentive effectiveness.
- Analyze reimbursement trends, payor performance, and contractual compliance to identify revenue optimization opportunities.
- Support provider payment governance through ongoing monitoring, reconciliation, and financial analysis.
Automation, AI & Analytics Innovation
- Lead development of automated analytics solutions using modern data and automation platforms.
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics to identify trends, anomalies, reimbursement opportunities, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Develop scalable reporting frameworks that reduce manual effort and improve data accessibility across the organization.
- Champion continuous improvement through process automation, workflow optimization, and emerging technologies.
Data Architecture, Governance & Quality
- Partner with Data Engineering, ETL, and Business Intelligence teams to design scalable data models and reporting solutions.
- Ensure integrity, consistency, and reliability of financial and operational data across multiple source systems.
- Develop and maintain reconciliation processes between clinical, operational, procurement, and financial systems.
- Establish governance standards, data quality controls, and documentation to support enterprise reporting and decision-making.
