    We are seeking Director - Project Services to join IQVIA Laboratories at Durham, NC.

    Job Summary:

    Lead and develop the Project Services organization to deliver exceptional client outcomes, drive operational excellence, and foster repeat business growth. This role provides strategic leadership across project management functions, mentors high-performing teams, and partners with clients and internal stakeholders to advance clinical research initiatives.
     

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Services managers and individual contributors to achieve client deliverables and departmental objectives
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project services processes, systems, quality, and operational efficiency
    • Oversee department budgets, resource planning, and financial performance while ensuring achievement of business objectives
    • Strengthen client relationships by participating in customer meetings, supporting business development activities, and managing strategic accounts
    • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Operations, IT, Finance, Data Management, Set-Up, and external partners
    • Champion compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements and support quality-focused project execution
    • Identify business risks, implement mitigation strategies, and drive successful issue resolution for internal and external customers
    • Support implementation of new technologies, study management tools, and operational processes across assigned customer segments
       

    What We Are Looking For:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field preferred; Master's Degree in Public Health, Clinical Research, or MBA preferred
    • 10 years of clinical or research industry experience; 5 years Project Services experience, including line management; 2 years' experience in central laboratory preferred
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing applications
    • Broad knowledge of Project Services processes and terminology, including Project Management, Data Management, and Set-Up functions
    • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

    • Demonstrated ability to improve complex operations through strategic thinking and analytical decision-making
    • Strong people leadership skills with experience developing and leading cross-functional and global teams
    • Excellent customer focus, interpersonal communication, and relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders
    • Sound judgment in business and financial matters with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and demands
    • High ethical standards and strong understanding of ICH E6 Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice

    The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $121,100.00 - $281,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
