Facilitating development and execution of integrated program strategic and operational plans, including:
Identification and monitoring of critical program goals, activities, and cross-functional linkages
Optimization of plans by challenging assumptions, evaluating opportunities to address constraints and gaps, and incorporating of new inputs as the program progresses
Proactive discussion and management of potential risk areas, including endorsement and implementation of aligned mitigation and/or contingency plans
Providing strong project and program management support to the product team and key sub-teams by:
Managing and facilitating meetings with proactive agenda planning and well-documented minutes, designed to support effective planning, problem solving and alignment
Developing and maintaining program budgets, timelines, and reporting tools/documents used by the team and senior management to ensure effective coordination, transparent and open communication, and disciplined governance
Cultivating an enterprise mindset within the team and driving strong cross-functional prioritization and decision making
Leading with an innovative, solution-oriented approach to ensure issues are resolved and communicated/escalated as needed
Contributing to enhancement and innovation of our program management systems, tools, and processes to support the evolving needs of our teams and the broader business
Alkermes is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to support our ALKS 4510 program, a key component of our orexin 2 receptor agonist portfolio strategy targeting fatigue associated with neurological disorders. The Program Manager will enable seamless execution of this dynamic development program by translating strategy into actionable plans, navigating complexity, and facilitating effective decision-making and delivery across the organization.
The Program Manager leads through influence, serving as the focal point for cross-functional alignment and integrated execution. They manage the cross-functional product team, driving strategic and operational planning, communication, and governance as the program progresses through the stages of drug development. This role partners closely with Project Leaders and functional area representatives to synthesize plans, integrate activities, manage interdependencies, and mitigate risks, ensuring the program delivers maximum value and impact to the patients we serve and achieves key corporate objectives.

Alkermes has recently adopted a hybrid working environment to support and meet the needs of employees and this role will operate in a flexible environment with 60% of time in the office and 40% from home. This position is eligible for the hybrid workplace model, requiring work to be completed onsite at our Waltham, MA office at least 3 days per week. This role is not eligible for fully remote work.
