    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor"s degree or equivalent practical experience.
    • 15 years of experience in product management.
    • 5 years of experience with AI/ML applications, cloud-native architectures, or big data platforms and their business applications.
    • 5 years of experience managing a product management team.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • Ability to balance technical and business issues.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and business experts.
    • Effective leadership capabilities, and ability to motivate a team.
    • Expertise leading teams towards business goals.

    As the Director of Product for Workspace Intelligence, you will drive product strategy and inspire a talented, collaborative team to accelerate search, evals and datasets capabilities across Workspace. You will build a global product team, work closely with engineering, design, and marketing leads to define the strategy, build cross-Workspace AI Search, context, evals and datasets infrastructure, reimagine Search and evals and datasets tools, and cultivate a highly collaborative and effective global team. In this role, you will primarily interact with: teams that make the apps that make up Google Workspace - Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Meet, etc., and DeepMind to collaborate on qualifying new models, improving models for Google Workspace use cases, and shipping the most capable and fastest model for each task. You will work with customers, product managers, User Experience Researchers (UXR), solutions architects, and GTM colleagues to understand customers" use cases, and translate them into technical designs and implementations.

    Responsibilities

    • Define the product vision and strategy for cross-Workspace AI-first search, context, evals, and datasets experiences. Design and lead a multi-year roadmap that balances short and long-term goals.
    • Analyze competitors and industry trends to drive innovation, and deliver forward-thinking approaches to long-term opportunities, such as modernizing the core search stack.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company"s product strategy and ensure the GenAI platform aligns with and enables that strategy.
    • Own the cross-functional product development process from ideation through to launch. Engage regularly with app leaders as a trusted advisor to understand their strategies and priorities to inform the product roadmap.
    • Drive the team"s rhythm of business by managing leadership review forums and tracking key company-level deliverables. Advocate for a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making to rapidly bring state-of-the-art GenAI experiences to market.
