Kforce has a client that is seeking a Director Procurement Production in New York, NY. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Director, Procurement Production to lead strategic sourcing, procurement operations, supplier management, and production-related purchasing activities. This role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, optimizing supply chain performance, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services that support operational and production objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with extensive procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to drive cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance across a complex organization. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead procurement and sourcing activities for production, operations, and business-critical spend categories
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives and budget goals
  • Manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and vendor performance programs
  • Oversee procurement operations, purchase order processes, and sourcing initiatives
  • Collaborate with Operations, Production, Finance, Legal, and Business stakeholders to support organizational needs
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor supplier performance, service levels, quality standards, and risk management activities
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis initiatives
  • Lead strategic sourcing projects, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations
  • Develop procurement metrics, dashboards, and reporting for leadership
  • Manage, mentor, and develop procurement team members
  • Support business growth initiatives, production planning, and operational efficiency programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing experience
  • 3+ years of leadership or people management experience
  • Experience managing supplier negotiations, contracts, and strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Experience with ERP, procurement, or supply chain management systems
  • Strong knowledge of procurement operations, purchasing processes, and supplier management
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or related credentials
  • MBA or advanced Business degree
  • Experience supporting production, manufacturing, media, entertainment, or operations-focused environments
  • Experience with supplier risk management and global sourcing strategies
  • Experience leading large-scale procurement transformation or process improvement initiatives

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
