    Job Overview

    The Regional Director, Indirect Procurement - EMIA leads the development and execution of indirect procurement strategies across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa. The role is accountable for regional procurement performance, stakeholder engagement, supplier performance, risk mitigation, sustainability, talent leadership, and value creation while ensuring alignment with global procurement strategies and business objectives.

    As the senior procurement business partner for the region, this position connects regional business and plant priorities with global category strategies. The Regional Director leads regional execution across a diverse indirect spend portfolio and partners closely with business leaders, Finance, Operations, Legal, HR, IT, and other functions to deliver measurable business outcomes and improve organizational performance.

    This position can be remotely based within the EMIA region.

    Job Requirements

    Strategic and Regional Leadership

    • Lead the EMIA Indirect Procurement organization, including category management, strategic sourcing, and operational procurement support activities.
    • Develop and execute regional indirect procurement priorities aligned with enterprise objectives, regional business requirements, manufacturing operations, and global category strategies.
    • Serve as the senior procurement advisor to EMIA business, functional, and plant leadership, influencing sourcing decisions, investment priorities, and procurement operating practices.

    Category Management and Strategic Sourcing

    • Lead regional spend management across indirect categories.
    • Lead complex sourcing activities, including demand alignment, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, implementation, and performance management.
    • Translate global category strategies into effective regional execution.

    Supplier Relationship and Risk Management

    • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic and critical suppliers.
    • Evaluate and improve supplier performance across quality, delivery, service, cost, innovation, and risk.
    • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supplier disruption and business continuity risks.

    Financial and Operational Performance

    • Deliver annual cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital, productivity, and value creation objectives.
    • Establish KPIs, operating reviews, and reporting mechanisms that provide clear accountability for regional performance.

    Procurement Transformation

    • Lead regional adoption of procurement transformation initiatives, operating model changes, digital procurement capabilities, and Source-to-Pay process improvements.
    • Lead cross-functional change initiatives that simplify processes, improve service, and strengthen procurement capability.

    Stakeholder and Matrix Leadership

    • Build strong relationships with regional and global executives, functional leaders, business units, and manufacturing sites.
    • Influence decisions without direct authority and resolve competing priorities within a global matrix organization.

    Talent Leadership

    • Lead, coach, and develop procurement managers and professionals across multiple countries.
    • Establish succession plans, strengthen leadership bench depth, and develop future procurement leaders.

    What your background should look like

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field required.
    • Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

    Experience

    • 15+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, and supply chain experience, including at least 10 years specifically within indirect procurement.
    • 5+ years of senior leadership experience managing geographically dispersed procurement teams across multiple countries.
    • Demonstrated indirect procurement leadership experience within a large multinational manufacturing company.
    • Experience supporting complex manufacturing operations in industrial, automotive, electronics, aerospace, medical technology, or a similar industry.
    • Proven success managing significant indirect spend portfolios and multiple categories, including MRO, Facilities, Capital Equipment, Tooling, Logistics, HR Services, Fleet, IT, Professional Services, Travel, or related areas.
    • Demonstrated success delivering cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital improvement, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and increased spend under contract.
    • Experience operating within a global matrix organization that combines global category strategies with regional execution.
    • Proven experience leading procurement transformation, organizational change, digital procurement initiatives, Source-to-Pay improvement, and procurement capability development.
    • Demonstrated expertise in executive-level stakeholder engagement, complex supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
    • EMIA or EMEA regional procurement leadership experience strongly preferred.
