Expectations:

The Director of Perioperative Logistics and Sterile Processing provides strategic and operational leadership for Sterile Processing, Perioperative Supply Logistics, and procedural support services. This role oversees the efficient flow of instruments, supplies, equipment, and critical resources across the perioperative continuum, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and exceptional support for surgical and procedural services. Responsibilities include oversight of perioperative logistics, instrumentation and inventory management, equipment utilization, crash cart replenishment, hospital-wide bed rental logistics, vendor management, and supply optimization.

Working collaboratively with perioperative leadership, Supply Chain, Infection Prevention, Nursing, physicians, and ancillary departments, the Director develops and implements strategies that enhance procedural throughput, operational efficiency, financial performance, and service quality. The position provides leadership for strategic planning, employee engagement, performance improvement, budget management, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, while providing administrative oversight to the Sterile Processing Department Manager, who serves as the department's technical expert in sterile processing operations, sterilization practices, regulatory compliance, and staff competency.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, Nursing, or related field required.
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Nursing, or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, supply chain, logistics, perioperative services, sterile processing, procedural services, or related healthcare environment.
Minimum three (3) years of management experience with responsibility for personnel, budgets, operational performance, and process improvement initiatives.
Experience leading perioperative supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or procedural support operations preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Professional certification such as CRCST, CHL, Lean Six Sigma, CSCP, APICS, PMP, or other relevant certification preferred.

SKILLS:
Knowledge of TJC and Title 22 requirements for CSP.
Demonstrated experience leading complex operational workflows, logistics functions, inventory management, supply chain operations, or procedural support services.
Experience developing and implementing performance improvement initiatives, operational metrics, and productivity standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and effectively collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, supply chain professionals, and executive leadership.
Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with experience utilizing data to drive operational decisions.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $148,171.00 - $214,848.00.

Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
