The Opportunity:
The Director of Wellness leads the strategic vision for holistic student well-being. Working with the Dean of Community Life, this individual designs, implements and oversees comprehensive programs that support the physical, mental and emotional health of the students. This role focuses on fostering a positive school culture, integrating and coordinating student support services to maximize academic and personal success. The goal is to reduce barriers to learning, prevent crises and promote a healthy, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, implement and evaluate comprehensive school-wide wellness initiatives
Oversee tiered mental mental health services, crisis response protocols and individual or group counseling.
Partner with athletic departments to encourage healthy movement, proper nutrition and physical safety.
Coordinate health education, physical education, and wellness initiatives to ensure alignment with state standards and district goals.
Collaborate with counseling staff, school nurses, and administrators to build a comprehensive wellness curriculum.
Collaborate with faculty, nurses and administration on student wellness to help support the student.
Supervise mental health professionals.
Lead the development and implementation of universal well-being screening and progress-monitoring systems.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong crisis-management abilities, deep understanding of adolescent development and a proven commitment to diversity and equity.
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Qualifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license and/or obtain a Colorado license within 30 days of hire.
Master’s degree in School Counseling, Clinical Social Work or related field.
5 year’s experience, experience in an independent boarding/day school environment preferred.
Relevant state licensure or certification.

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000
