    Allegheny County isseekinga visionary and strategic leader to serve as the Director of the Office of Worker Protection OWP.Reporting to the County Manager this executive-level positionis responsible forleading the Countys new worker protection agency which is tasked with enforcing Allegheny Countys policies laws and mandates regarding anti-discrimination worker protection workplace benefits and workplace safety.Specifically the Director is responsible for planning developing implementing coordinating and directing all operations and activities of the Allegheny Human Relations Commission and the enforcement of other worker protection laws in the County. This includes the timely and effective investigation adjudication and resolution of complaints including but not limited to discrimination complaints directing staff allocating office resources developing and implementing strategic plans and agency policies coordinating funding with federal partners and pe

    The County owns and maintains 521 Bridges and 378 miles of Roads. It also provides maintenance of the grounds for nine (9) County parks consisting of over twelve (12) thousand acres of park land. The County maintains approximately three (3) million square feet of building space which includes 600,000 square feet of leased space in over 130 buildings throughout the County. The Public Works Department oversees the County’s Capital Projects Program for all roads, bridges, and facilities associated with the Public Works Department and Facilities Management.
