Title:  Director of Tax/Tax Manager

Location: Northbrook, IL (Remote)

Compensation:
Pay Range:$140,000 - $180,000 Per Year

Description
Lead complex tax engagements and build a growing tax and advisory practice.
Balance technical tax responsibilities with client relationship management and business development.
Remain directly involved in tax planning, return review, and client advisory work.
Develop new relationships, expand existing accounts, and generate new business.
Coordinate with external advisors to strengthen client retention.
Participate in strategic planning for practice growth and scalability.
Maintain awareness of competitive trends and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and review complex tax engagements and returns.
Conduct technical tax research and planning for various client types.
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
Serve as the primary relationship leader for assigned clients.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and referral relationships.

Qualifications
Active CPA license.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
10 years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
Significant experience managing complex tax engagements.
Proven experience in business development and client expansion.
