Role Summary

We are seeking a Director of Tax to lead the company’s global tax function and serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on tax strategy, compliance, risk management, and financial planning initiatives. This highly visible position offers the opportunity to influence business decisions, support growth initiatives, and drive process improvements across a complex multi entity environment.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in global income tax, a hands on leadership style, and the ability to partner effectively across Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Operations. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with day to day execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global tax strategy, compliance, planning, and risk management activities across domestic and international operations
• Oversee income tax, sales and use tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax, and related reporting requirements
• Partner with external advisors to ensure compliance with changing tax regulations and reporting requirements
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities that enhance efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance
• Support mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, and restructuring activities from a tax perspective
• Provide guidance and recommendations to executive leadership regarding tax matters and business initiatives
• Manage and develop tax personnel while fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance tax reporting capabilities
• Support internal and external audits and ensure accurate documentation for all tax related activities

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• Deep expertise in global income tax, federal tax, state and local tax, and international tax compliance
• Experience leading tax strategy, planning, reporting, and compliance within a multi entity organization
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls
• Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing team members
• Experience partnering with senior leadership and cross functional stakeholders
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in downtown Atlanta
• Strong communication, problem solving, and relationship building skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred
• MBA, CFA, or other advanced professional credentials are a plus
• Experience supporting private equity backed organizations
• Experience in multinational or global business environments
• Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, and post acquisition integrations
• NetSuite experience highly preferred
• Background leading sales and use tax functions
