    Description

    A healthcare facility is seeking a Director of Surgical Services (RN) to provide clinical and operational leadership for its surgical department. This on-site leadership role is responsible for supporting perioperative excellence, guiding nursing teams, and ensuring high-quality surgical care through effective department management and collaboration.

    Responsibilities

    Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Surgical Services department.

    Oversee daily surgical operations while promoting safe, efficient, and patient-centered perioperative care.

    Support nursing staff through leadership, guidance, and performance management.

    Maintain standards of practice, policies, and procedures related to surgical services.

    Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve department performance and patient outcomes.

    Monitor operational goals, workflow, staffing needs, and quality initiatives.

    Promote continuous improvement within the surgical services department.

    Requirements

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

    Active Arizona RN License.

    5+ years of surgical nursing experience.

    1+ years of leadership experience in a surgical setting.

    Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing or a relevant field.

    Preferred: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification.

    Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.

    Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

    Preferred: Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).
