Salary Range: $102,876.80 - $128,585.60 per year (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
The Director of Surgery is accountable for the leadership and management functions of the surgical departments and for departmental operational performance including but not limited to the Pre-Anesthesia Area (PAA), the Operating Rooms (ORs), the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), the Endoscopy Suite, and Sterile Processing. The Director of Surgery will organize, delegate, support, and facilitate activities within the assigned departments/services. They will support physicians, nursing, and all other caregivers within each service and will maintain an active presence and availability. The Director will develop and maintain positive relationships and interactions. They will enhance physician/provider, patient, and caregiver satisfaction as well as continuous systems improvement initiatives. The Director will work with the leadership team, medical staff, and others to address clinical opportunities and respond to concerns that are impacting growth opportunities. The Director of Surgery is accountable for the fiscal management/financial stewardship and forecasting for surgery. They manage the human resources aspect of the departments including performance management, competencies, and workplace safety. They are responsible for the stewardship of resources for surgery within the context of the Winona Health Services (WHS) mission. The Director of Surgery is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They are responsible for the overall operation of the surgery program and will evaluate new procedures, equipment, and techniques in collaboration with surgery caregivers.
