LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an organization in Kansas City and assisting them with their Supply Chain Director search.

The Director of Supply Chain provides strategic and operational leadership for all site-level supply chain activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is accountable for end‑to‑end supply chain performance, ensuring cost‑effective, compliant, and reliable delivery of materials and services to support production operations and customer commitments. The Director partners closely with cross‑functional leaders to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and supply reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute site supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, customer requirements, and regulatory standards

  • Lead demand planning, production planning, master scheduling, and capacity planning to ensure alignment with forecasts and delivery commitments

  • Oversee inventory management, including inventory optimization, cycle counts, physical inventories, and disposition of excess or obsolete materials

  • Direct procurement and supplier management activities, including sourcing, negotiations, performance management, and continuity of supply

  • Manage warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, and transportation operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant material movement

  • Lead ERP system utilization and continuous improvement efforts (SAP preferred) to ensure data accuracy, planning effectiveness, and performance visibility

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer contracts, regulatory requirements, and safety standards (including OSHA)

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve service levels, shorten lead times, and enhance supply chain reliability

  • Build, lead, and develop high‑performing supply chain teams through hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning

  • Represent Supply Chain in cross‑functional initiatives, customer meetings, commercialization activities, and business reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field required

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, including at least 7 years in a leadership role

  • Strong experience in manufacturing environments with end‑to‑end supply chain responsibility

  • Demonstrated expertise in demand planning, scheduling, procurement, inventory management, and logistics

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage change in a regulated environment

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Pay Details: $150,000.00 to $250,000.00 per year
