  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, freight arrangements, warranties, and other commercial terms.
  • Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular supplier reviews.
  • Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to reduce supply risk and improve competitiveness.
  • Develop strategic sourcing programs that leverage company-wide purchasing volume.
  • Monitor commodity, material, freight, and supplier cost trends and develop appropriate sourcing strategies.

Inventory Management & Demand Planning

  • Coordinate purchasing and material planning for fabricated assemblies, plastic molded tanks, wastewater systems, and other engineered products.
  • Improve material flow and production scheduling through effective planning and supplier coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce production lead times, material shortages, expediting, and production interruptions.
  • Support make-versus-buy analysis and strategic outsourcing decisions.
  • Work with Engineering and Operations on product standardization and component rationalization where appropriate.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Assist with inbound and outbound transportation strategies and logistics partners.
  • Optimize freight costs, delivery schedules, routing, and transportation performance.
  • Establish and monitor carrier and logistics-provider performance.
  • Improve coordination between suppliers, warehouses, fabrication operations, and customers.
  • Develop processes to support time-sensitive, oversized, engineered, and project-based shipments.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and processes are in place for domestic and international shipments, where applicable.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership.
  • Establish effective communication between commercial teams and supply chain regarding forecasts, customer requirements, project schedules, and product availability.
  • Support sales growth by developing supply chain capabilities that can accommodate changing customer and market requirements.
  • Partner with Finance to improve working capital, purchasing controls, inventory valuation, and cost visibility.
  • Work with Quality and Engineering to address supplier quality issues and improve incoming material performance.
