Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Compliance, the Director of Student Success provides systemwide leadership, coordination, and technical support to advance student success initiatives across the SC Technical College System. This role leads implementation and continuous improvement of a systemwide student success framework aligned with institutional priorities, data, and evidence-based practices. Serving as a central convener and resource, the Director collaborates with colleges to align student success strategies across academic and student affairs functions, supports systemwide committees and working groups, and promotes consistent, effective approaches that enhance student outcomes. The position is responsible for designing and delivering educational programs, activities, and professional development opportunities that support student achievement and goal attainment in alignment with the System's mission and vision. This role also serves as the primary coordinator for cross-functional efforts spanning academic affairs, student affairs, workforce development, and institutional effectiveness.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelors degree and relevant program experience.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Must possess demonstrated knowledge of two-year postsecondary education, including current and emerging best practices in student success, engagement, and completion strategies and the ability to apply such knowledge to the design, implementation, and evaluation of system-level policies, procedures, initiatives, and projects. Successful candidates will exhibit initiative, strong attention to detail, effective organizational and project management skills, and the ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications
A master's degree and experience working with the design, development, and evaluation of activities and materials related to student affairs in a postsecondary educational setting.
