Description

Kforce has a client seeking a Director of Security in Miami, FL (Florida). Responsibilities:
  • Lead the overall Information Security program and strategic cybersecurity roadmap
  • Oversee Security Operations, including threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and MSSP relationships
  • Direct Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) initiatives, including risk assessments, policy management, audit support, and remediation efforts
  • Establish and maintain enterprise Data Governance practices, including data classification, retention, privacy controls, and data protection standards
  • Drive security integration across software development and cloud environments through DevSecOps best practices
  • Define and govern security architecture standards, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, network segmentation, IAM, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and Zero Trust frameworks
  • Lead major security incidents and serve as the executive point of contact during cybersecurity events
  • Develop security metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting for leadership stakeholders
  • Manage security budgets, vendor relationships, technology investments, and licensing agreements
  • Support regulatory examinations, security audits, customer assessments, and compliance requirements
  • Mentor and develop a team of cybersecurity professionals while fostering a strong security culture across the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive Information Security experience (15+ years in lieu of degree considered)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing cybersecurity teams
Hands-on experience leading:
  • Security Operations (SOC)
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
  • Data Governance
  • DevSecOps Programs
Deep knowledge of security frameworks and standards including:
  • NIST CSF
  • NIST 800-53
  • ISO 27001
  • CIS Controls
  • PCI-DSS
  • SOX
  • Data Privacy Regulations
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security technologies, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust architectures
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, audits, and incident response programs
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and risk effectively to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Business Administration
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or CCSP
  • Experience within highly regulated industries
  • Executive-level presentation experience, including board or audit committee engagement
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
