    About the Role

Residents Medical Group (RMG) helps international and U.S. medical graduates secure residency and fellowship placements through advising, hands-on clinical experiences, and direct relationships with teaching hospitals and GME programs. We're hiring a Director of Sales to own revenue growth — building and leading the team that converts qualified physician candidates into enrolled clients.

This is a player-coach role. You'll carry a strategic pipeline yourself while building the structure, targets, and coaching that let a counseling/sales team perform at scale.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own the full sales pipeline: lead generation, qualification, conversion, and retention of medical graduate clients.
    • Build and manage a team of counselors/sales reps — set quotas, run pipeline reviews, and coach to close.
    • Design and refine the sales process, scripts, and CRM workflow; report on conversion metrics and revenue forecasts to leadership.
    • Develop partnerships and referral channels (international medical schools, consultancies, advising networks) that feed qualified leads.
    • Partner with marketing on campaigns, messaging, and lead-quality feedback loops.
    • Ensure every client interaction is compliant, accurate about outcomes, and consistent with RMG's brand and ethical standards.

    Requirements
    • 5+ years in sales with 2+ years leading or managing a sales team; consistent record of hitting and exceeding targets.
    • Experience selling a considered, high-ticket service (education, healthcare, professional services, or consulting preferred).
    • Strong CRM discipline and comfort building forecasts and reporting from pipeline data.
    • Excellent communication skills and credibility with a sophisticated, often international, physician audience.

    Preferred

    • Familiarity with medical education, GME, residency/fellowship pathways, or the IMG market.
    • Experience building a sales function from an early or scaling stage.
