Reverie Boutique Collection | The Uncommoner Hotel + Freebird Motor Lodge
West Yarmouth, Cape Cod, MA
Full-Time | Year-Round | In-Person
Reverie Boutique Collection is looking for a personable, organized and sales-minded Sales & Events Manager to join our year-round team in West Yarmouth.
This role will oversee the sales process for The Uncommoner Hotel and Freebird Motor Lodge, with a focus on weddings, social events, group room blocks, corporate and group stays, private events, and food & beverage opportunities.
We already generate a healthy flow of inquiries.
Your first responsibility will be to make sure those opportunities are handled exceptionally well—from the first phone call or email through the property tour, proposal, follow-up and signed agreement.
But we don’t want to stop there.
We’re looking for someone who can also help us grow beyond inbound business by developing relationships, finding new accounts, creating partnerships and introducing our hotels to people and organizations that haven’t discovered us yet.
This is a great opportunity for someone with hospitality, wedding, catering, event or hotel sales experience who is ready to take ownership of the sales function for two growing boutique properties.
The Uncommoner Hotel is a newly reimagined boutique hotel in West Yarmouth with distinctive accommodations, indoor and outdoor pools, food & beverage concepts, gathering spaces, and opportunities for weddings, celebrations and private events.
Freebird Motor Lodge is a retro-inspired Cape Cod motor lodge built around freedom, nostalgia, music and laid-back hospitality.
Both are part of Reverie Boutique Collection, our growing collection of independent hospitality concepts.
A major part of this position is making the most of the opportunities already coming through our doors.
You’ll:
We’re looking for someone who understands that great sales often comes down to responsiveness, personality, follow-up and making it easy for the client to say yes.
The Uncommoner offers a significant opportunity to grow our wedding and social event business.
You’ll sell opportunities including:
Rather than thinking about a wedding as a single event, we want you thinking about the entire weekend—rooms, welcome drinks, rehearsal dinner, wedding, after-party and farewell brunch.
You’ll also manage and develop group opportunities for both The Uncommoner and Freebird, including:
You’ll work with hotel leadership to make sure we’re accepting the right business at the right rates while helping fill dates and periods where we have additional availability.
While we already receive inbound leads, an important part of this role is helping us create new sources of business.
You don’t need to arrive with a giant book of accounts.
You do need to be curious, outgoing and willing to build relationships.
That might mean:
We’re not looking for someone to spend every day cold calling from a spreadsheet.
We’re looking for someone who naturally sees opportunities and enjoys turning relationships into business.
Our food & beverage spaces create opportunities beyond guestrooms.
You’ll work closely with our operations and F&B teams to identify opportunities for:
A great salesperson in this position will constantly be asking:
“What else can we do for this guest?”
You’ll maintain an organized sales pipeline and make sure opportunities don’t fall through the cracks.
Responsibilities include:
We’d love to meet candidates with experience in:
Hotel experience is helpful, but we’re more interested in finding the right salesperson and hospitality personality than checking every traditional hotel-industry box.
The ideal candidate is:
Experience with hotel PMS, CRM, catering or event management systems is a plus.
You’ll be successful when:
$65,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience, plus performance incentives.
We believe great salespeople should benefit when they help grow the business. The position includes opportunities for additional compensation tied to sales performance and revenue growth.
This is a full-time, year-round, in-person position based in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts.
The hospitality business sometimes happens outside traditional office hours, so occasional evenings and weekends will be required for property tours, client events, weddings, networking and industry events.
This is an opportunity to join a growing independent hospitality company at an exciting stage.
You’ll have an established stream of opportunities to work with from day one, while also having the freedom to help us develop new markets, relationships and ideas.
And because we’re independent, good ideas don’t have to travel through ten layers of corporate approval.
If you’re someone who enjoys hospitality, connecting with people and the satisfaction of turning an inquiry into a great event or hotel stay, we’d like to hear from you.
Please apply with your resume and a brief introduction telling us about your hospitality, wedding, event or sales experience.
Reverie Boutique Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
