Director of Risk Management

A hospital in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a senior-level Director of Risk Management. This is an on-site leadership role requiring regular, in-person presence at the facility. Partial relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

The role. The Director of Risk Management is responsible for overseeing risk management programs and initiatives within the hospital setting. This position draws on a foundation of clinical nursing experience combined with leadership expertise to identify, assess, and mitigate organizational risk. The role works across departments to ensure compliance, patient safety, and sound risk management practices.

What we're looking for.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
• Active New Mexico RN license
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a Director or Manager capacity
• Risk Management experience required
• Preferred: Prior acute healthcare risk management experience, which may substitute for the leadership experience requirement
• Preferred: Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification preferred upon hire and required within three years of employment

Compensation. $120,000 - $150,000 per year
