Job Description

Department/Unit Summary

Provides strategic leadership for the organization's Quality, Risk Management, and Medical Staff functions, overseeing clinical risk programs, claims management, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for developing departmental goals and standards, directing operational performance, patient care quality, audits, staffing, budgeting, and compliance activities. Collaborates across the organization to ensure regulatory readiness, drive continuous improvement, foster professional development, and support excellence throughout the continuum of care.

Must-Have Requirements

1. NM RN License or multistate
2. Bachelor's degree from aacredited nursing school
3. Must have at least 5 years experience in Nursing with at least 3 years as a Director/Manager
4. Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification preferred upon hire and required within 3 years of employment
5. Risk Management, Quality and Medical Staff experience required.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

1. Prior acute healthcare risk management experience is preferred and can substitute for the leadership experience
2. Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred. xxzpjkt Previous Director level experience preferred.
