    Director of Risk Management - Full-Time Opportunity


    POSITION OVERVIEW

    We are seeking an experienced Director of Risk Management to lead risk management, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives within an acute care hospital setting in Las Vegas, Nevada. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, managing risk reduction programs, and supporting a culture of patient safety throughout the organization.

    COMPENSATION

    • Base Salary: $116,068 - $153,791 per year

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead hospital-wide risk management and patient safety initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, DHS, and other regulatory standards.
    • Conduct risk assessments and oversee mitigation strategies.
    • Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and other quality improvement methodologies.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and risk management programs.
    • Monitor and evaluate regulatory and accreditation compliance.
    • Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for quality and safety improvements.
    • Collaborate with clinical leaders, medical staff, and hospital administration.
    • Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action plans.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to risk management and quality teams.


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
    • Two to five years of Risk Management experience.
    • Acute care hospital experience preferred.
    • Minimum three years of leadership experience preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards and CMS/DHS regulations.
    • Experience with RCA, FMEA, and other quality improvement tools.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and hospital information systems.
    • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Understanding of statistical analysis and healthcare quality metrics.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master's Degree in a related field.
    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).
    • Six Sigma / Lean methodology experience.
    • Previous Director of Risk Management experience in an acute care hospital setting.
