WHY JOIN ALO?
Mindful movement. It's at the core of why we do what we do at ALO-it's our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That's the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.
OVERVIEW
As Director of Retail Strategy & Operations, you are the strategic partner and right hand to the VP of Retail Operations. You turn complexity into compelling narrative. You take the cross-functional work of growing a global retailer and make it legible for the executive leadership team and for the teams who need to execute. You connect dots others miss, ask the question behind the question, and are just as comfortable building a P&L model as you are presenting it in a room full of senior leaders.
This role leads through influence, not authority. You will earn credibility through preparation, intellectual rigor, and the kind of operational fluency that only comes from genuinely understanding the inner workings of a retail business from end to end. You know when to speak and when to let the room breathe. You do not need the spotlight to feel like the work matters and take professional pride in operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Storytelling & Updates
Own the development of executive presentations for the broader Retail org, including C-suite reviews, founder briefings, and strategic business updates.
Synthesize operational, financial, and cross-functional data into clear narratives that drive decisions, not just summarize activity.
Connect the dots across Alo functions to build the full picture before anyone has to ask for it. Strategic Initiatives & Program Management
Lead cross-functional program management for Alo's most strategic retail initiatives, including international expansion, new country enablement, and new category launches.
Define scope, build critical path, run working sessions, and drive visibility and accountability to milestones without being the loudest person in the room.
Surface risks early, resolve ambiguity and restore clarity quickly, and keep initiatives moving from concept to execution.
