    Aventura at Oakwood Village is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead our in-house therapy team. The ideal candidate is a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) with proven leadership ability and a passion for delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

    As the Director of Rehab, you will oversee the daily operations of our in-house rehabilitation department, support therapy staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical outcomes for our residents. This leadership role focuses on collaboration with nursing and interdisciplinary teams, staff development, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a strong culture of compassionate care.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and oversee daily operations of the in-house rehabilitation department

    • Supervise and support PT, PTA, OT, COTA, and SLP therapy staff

    • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility policies and regulations

    • Coordinate resident care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

    • Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and clinical staff

    • Monitor therapy documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

    • Participate in program development, quality improvement, and clinical outcomes initiatives

    Qualifications

    • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the State of Ohio (required)

    • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting

    • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

    • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

    • Commitment to ethical practice, resident advocacy, and team leadership
