Concord Post Acute is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our rehabilitation department and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered therapy services.

Position Overview
The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department. The DOR provides clinical and administrative leadership, oversees staffing and scheduling, supports regulatory and documentation compliance, monitors department performance, and collaborates with facility leadership to promote excellent resident care.
The DOR will oversee PT, OT, SLP, therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students while maintaining strong working relationships with nursing, administration, physicians, residents, families, and referral partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and support rehabilitation department staff
- Oversee daily staffing, scheduling, and caseload management
- Provide direct patient care as needed while managing administrative responsibilities
- Ensure residents receive appropriate evaluations, treatment, and rehabilitation services
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of therapy programs and clinical services
- Develop and implement clinical programs based on resident and facility needs
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company policies
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Monitor department productivity and performance standards
- Support denials management and ensure appropriate billing and documentation practices
- Review and approve department timecards
- Participate in employee performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback
- Coordinate orientation and onboarding for new rehabilitation team members
- Provide ongoing staff education and in-services related to clinical practices, safety, body mechanics, and workplace safety
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, facility staff, and referral sources
- Participate in facility and company meetings
- Identify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, department efficiency, and rehabilitation services
- Assist with developing and maintaining referral and business relationships
- Promote a positive, professional, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information
- Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education
Qualifications
- Current California license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Previous rehabilitation leadership, management, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related rehabilitation field preferred
- Master's or Doctorate degree preferred, depending on discipline
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation, billing, compliance, and quality standards
- Experience with electronic documentation systems such as Net Health and PointClickCare preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with facility leadership and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services

Compensation
Salary: Up to $155,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications (DOE).
