As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Recruiting to lead our talent acquisition efforts and build the high-performing teams that make Longship's mission possible.
Responsibilities:
Leads members of the Recruiting department (Recruiting Coordinators, etc.)
Facilitates the performance of the Recruiting department through monthly and/or quarterly performance reviews
Recruits top talent; efficiently & effectively fills open positions
Ensure all departments are adequately staffed to support business needs
Creates and manages job postings
Schedules, coordinates, and conducts phone and in-person interviews
Leads the process to ensure candidates understand position details, complete applications, meet qualifications, and close positions
Extends offers to successful candidates and works in tandem with the Director of Human Resources on the new hire onboarding process
Develops, coordinates, and executes recruitment strategies and provides support for key recruitment initiatives.
Attracts applicants through job site postings (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.), external candidate outreach, newsgroups, etc.
Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, internet sites, etc.
Attends college career fairs and other networking events to represent and provide a voice for Longship
Ensures a positive hiring and onboarding experience for all applicants
Tracks employee hiring and retention
Aids in social media postings and promotions
Other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of full cycle recruiting experience (required)
Bachelor's degree (required)
Demonstrated leadership or management experience, with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a recruiting team
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or HRIS platforms
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
Experience in logistics, transportation, or a related industry is a plus
