Director of Real Estate Development | Affordable Housing

Richmond, CA (Hybrid) | $175K-$205K

Are you an affordable housing development leader who can take projects from concept to completion?

We're partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit developer seeking a Director of Real Estate Development to lead a growing portfolio of affordable housing projects throughout Northern California.

This is not a traditional real estate development role.

We're looking for someone who has deep experience in affordable housing finance, tax credits, public funding applications, community engagement, and leading development teams. You'll oversee a pipeline of approximately 20 projects while managing a team of project managers and development professionals.

What We're Looking For:

Affordable housing development experience (required)

LIHTC / Tax Credit expertise

Funding applications, grants, loans, and public financing

Experience leading projects from acquisition through construction and closeout

Strong leadership and people management skills

Ability to navigate community meetings, public presentations, and stakeholder engagement
