Overview

Join a dynamic utility organization in Phoenix, AZ, as a seasoned regulatory professional. This pivotal role involves leading rate strategy, regulatory filings, and compliance. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop rate cases, oversee regulatory reporting, and ensure compliance, all while supporting the company's financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage regulatory filings, rate cases, and tariff submissions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive ratemaking and financial models.
  • Prepare surcharge and rate adjustment filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and commission directives.
  • Conduct detailed financial, economic, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze customer growth, usage trends, and cost-of-service data.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations on key business initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements and manage special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in utility regulatory affairs, rates, or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of ratemaking, revenue requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in preparing regulatory filings and supporting rate cases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with the Arizona Corporation Commission is highly preferred.
