    What You’ll Lead

    Based in Hastings, MI, you will guide our end-to-end quality system and ensure every product aligns with applicable ASTM requirements. As the senior owner of compliance and quality, you’ll mentor a high-performing team, elevate processes, and champion continuous improvement across the business.

    A Day in the Role

    Morning may start with a review of overnight quality metrics and a stand-up with your QA leaders. Midday could include partnering with engineering and operations to resolve a nonconformance, then conducting a layered audit on a critical process. In the afternoon, you’ll finalize a management report on compliance trends and steer a cross-functional session to embed corrective actions. Throughout, you’ll be tracking changes to ASTM standards and translating them into pragmatic procedures.

    Core Accountabilities

    • Create, refine, and deploy quality policies and procedures aligned to ASTM standards and internal quality management systems.
    • Oversee quality control activities and ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and customer requirements.
    • Lead, coach, and develop the QA organization; instill best practices and a learning mindset.
    • Plan and execute routine audits and gap assessments; drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
    • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to rapidly address quality issues.
    • Monitor industry developments and evolving ASTM regulations to maintain ongoing compliance.
    • Prepare executive-ready dashboards and reports on quality performance and compliance status.
    • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and engagement across all teams.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field; Master’s preferred.
    • 7+ years in quality and compliance, including 3+ years leading teams.
    • Expertise with ASTM standards and quality management systems.
    • History of successfully launching and sustaining quality initiatives.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail orientation.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
    • Ability to thrive amid shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bonus: Certifications such as Six Sigma or ASQ.
