POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Director of Quality Improvement your roles and responsibilities will include:
Responsible for leading the Quality / Performance Improvement activities across the hospital.
Integration of the Quality / Performance Improvement Program activities for the Medical and Hospital-wide Staff.
Data management and reporting for Quality / Performance Improvement initiatives
Oversight of Quality / Performance Improvement department and staff.
Responsible for complying with all policies and procedures that pertain to HIPAA including the minimum requirements for the DCQI position
other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Director of Quality Improvement who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Director of Quality Improvement
would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
Education: Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree inpatient care related field
Experience: 5 years experience in QA/PI
Certification:
Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice or policy
CPHQ or eligible to take the exam within two years of employment.
