DIRECTOR OF QUALITY for DEFENSE MANUFACTURING

GNR has been retained to find a “hands-on” DIRECTOR of QUALITYexperienced with AS9100 requirements for a 50+ year old company with a very strong AEROSPACE / DEFENSE portfolio, a modern state-of-the-art facility, and is committed to expanding its operational capabilities & excellence.

This role offers career growth and high visibility within the organization, reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you will own all Quality initiatives and requirements.

• Improve standards, processes and procedures, manage Quality Control, AS9100 & NADCAP Certifications, Audits, Continuous Improvements & Root Cause Analysis, Customer needs & requirements, Supplier Quality and product delivery etc.
• Manage, mentor and grow this solid team of 15+ directly reporting members
• Great communication skills to interact with Executive Team, other department leaders, and Customers

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years’ Quality leadership experience in an Aerospace / Defense manufacturing environment: Electronics – Avionics – Machining - Assembly
• Update processes and procedures, implement initiatives and manage audits
• Maintain & improve Supplier Quality streams
• Mentoring of a Quality Team and interaction with customers
• AS9100 and NADCAP compliance requirements
• US Citizenship
