    Director of Quality & Compliance

    Full-Time, Exempt | $65,000-$80,000 annually (DOE)

We’re looking for an experienced, strategic Director of Quality & Compliance to build and lead our organization-wide quality and compliance function, strengthen regulatory readiness, and turn complex requirements into practical, sustainable systems.

    What You’ll Do

    • Build and lead the organization’s Quality Assurance & Compliance Department, including its strategy, priorities, structure, and workflows.
    • Lead and support the Quality & Compliance team, including the Compliance Coordinator and Attendant Care Monitors, through clear expectations, coaching, accountability, and performance management.
    • Maintain organization-wide oversight of member and caregiver compliance and ensure required records, credentials, certifications, and documentation remain current and audit-ready.
    • Oversee the Attendant Care Monitoring program and ensure consistent monitoring, reporting, follow-up, and corrective action.
    • Develop and lead the organization’s Internal Audit Program, including risk-based audits, compliance reviews, program observations, reporting, and corrective action follow-up.
    • Lead the development, revision, standardization, and ongoing governance of organizational policies, procedures, and SOPs.
    • Coordinate external audits, regulatory reviews, licensing inspections, and related corrective action requirements.
    • Lead CARF accreditation readiness, including gap assessments, documentation, survey preparation, ongoing compliance, and future renewals.
    • Monitor regulatory and contractual requirements, identify significant or recurring compliance risks, and partner with operational and executive leadership to drive corrective action and continuous improvement.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, quality management, compliance, business administration, social services, or a related field required.
    • 2+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, or experience working with DDD, AHCCCS/ALTCS, HCBS, or similar Medicaid-funded or regulated human service programs strongly preferred.
    • Experience with CARF or another healthcare/human services accreditation process strongly preferred.
    • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to develop clear policies, procedures, SOPs, audit reports, corrective action plans, and regulatory responses.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, audits, and long-term initiatives.
    • Sound judgment, objectivity, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to appropriately identify and escalate compliance concerns.
    • Ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across departments, locations, and leadership levels.
    • Valid Arizona driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle for local travel.

    Schedule & Work Environment

    • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Flexible); some evenings and weekends may be required.
    • Organization-wide leadership role requiring independence, discretion, professional judgment, and accountability.
    • Local travel between organizational locations and attendance at external meetings, audits, surveys, or regulatory activities is a requirement.
    • Fast-paced role balancing day-to-day compliance oversight with long-term quality, audit, policy, and accreditation priorities.
