Director of Property Manager
New York | Primarily Remote with Regional Travel
1+ Year Contract Opportunity – Benefits Included
Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Director of Property Management to provide senior-level leadership and oversight for a portfolio of affordable housing communities during an important period of organizational and portfolio transition.
This individual will oversee the day-to-day property management and asset performance of a select portfolio of approximately six residential communities, primarily located throughout New York State with one property in Pennsylvania. The position is expected to continue through 2027 and will be primarily remote, with travel to properties required as business needs dictate. Opportunity for longer term conversion may be available.

- Manage relationships with site vendors, service providers, contractors, and other external partners.
- Ensure properties continue to meet applicable affordable housing compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and deliver monthly ownership reporting, including key performance indicators, financial variances, staffing updates, property performance, and transition progress.
- Monitor established performance metrics and incentive programs, ensuring continued accountability against organizational goals.
- Collaborate with leadership on property transitions, dispositions, ownership changes, and other strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure properties remain operationally and financially prepared for future transitions.
- Provide hands-on leadership and problem-solving as issues arise across the portfolio.
- Support additional portfolio and organizational initiatives as needed throughout the transition period.

- Strong understanding of property-level financial performance, including budgets, operating expenses, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Experience leading property management teams and working cross-functionally with compliance, facilities, finance, and executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor and third-party relationships effectively.
- Experience navigating property transitions, dispositions, ownership changes, or other periods of organizational change strongly preferred.
