Step into a high-impact structural steel shop and field operation in the Kansas City area, where projects are delivered with precision, accountability, and long-term client trust. This Director Of Project Management (Structural Steel) opportunity is based in Lenexa, KS, leading complex commercial structural steel work from turnover through closeout.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director Of Project Management (Structural Steel) position include:
- 8 to 10 years of project management experience in structural steel, commercial construction, or a related industry.
- 3 to 5 years leading or supervising PMs or project personnel (strongly preferred).
- Experience managing large-scale or multiple concurrent commercial projects.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
- Oversee scope, schedules, budgets, and manpower for the active project portfolio.
- Review project financials and forecasts, taking action when projects slip.
- Ensure change orders are identified, priced, negotiated, and secured.
- Coordinate detailing, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and erection while serving as a senior client contact.
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Medical, dental and vision with three plan options; HSA with an automatic $50 monthly company contribution; 401k with 4% match; two weeks of PTO, performance-based bonus in July; profit sharing after six years with the company.
