Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Director of Product Development for a Direct Hire with a client in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate leads the technical strategy, architecture, and execution of a critical enterprise platform, while driving scalable product development and building high-performing engineering teams.

Salary Range: $175K/Yearly to $190K/Yearly; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Must be tech-oriented, not grown up via business only.

Director of Product Development Job Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of a large-scale enterprise platform.

  • Translate business and product roadmaps into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team, including direct oversight of engineering leaders.

  • Drive platform modernization, modularization, and architectural improvements to support future growth and scalability.

  • Partner closely with product and business stakeholders to align engineering execution with organizational objectives.

  • Ensure system reliability, performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability through effective engineering practices and governance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.

  • 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering leadership, architecture, or technical management roles.

  • Proven hands-on experience with software architecture, platform scalability, and leading end-to-end product development lifecycles.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business and product strategies into technical roadmaps, engineering execution plans, and scalable solutions.
