Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Full-time associates in role are also eligible for an annual bonus incentive. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
CPSM preferred

Strong analytical background-proficient in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word. Strong communication and project management skills. Research and data analysis-cost structure analysis. Willing to make tough decisions and challenge conventional thinking.

  • Utilize strategic sourcing processes to ensure that contracts are put in place that meet the needs of our 1150+ communities, while providing synergy in process and savings. Timing of which is based on contract expiration date or business need.
  • Identify and prioritize sourcing projects within spend area and develop the annual procurement plan.
  • Lead/participate in cross-functional teams in the development of sourcing strategies.
  • Develop project plans and timeline for new projects or programs.
  • Negotiate and implement regional and national contracts to support the savings and service goals of the procurement team.
  • Drive contract and vendor compliance to the new and existing national agreements.
  • Provides detailed reporting on Brookdale programs including trend analysis, rebate tracking, savings initiatives, etc.
  • Manage all order guides and lead blocking initiative to make recommendations on what items should be blocked and what should be allowed in ecommerce ordering portal to maximize savings.
  • Work with analysts to ensure program is maintained on an ongoing basis (price verification, product block, etc.).
