KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Director of Procurement in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 

Position Overview
The Director of Procurement is responsible for leading purchasing strategy, supplier management, and procurement operations to ensure efficient and reliable supply flow across the organization. This hands-on leadership role focuses on negotiating favorable pricing, strengthening supplier relationships, and developing scalable procurement processes that support operational growth.

The Director will work closely with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, optimize sourcing strategies, and drive cost-efficiency while maintaining quality and supply continuity. This position plays a key role in developing procurement strategies that align with broader business objectives and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Planning
    *    Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
    *    Establish policies and procedures for sourcing, supplier management, and risk mitigation.
    *    Manage procurement budgets and ensure compliance with financial and operational standards.
    *    Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.

Supplier Management & Negotiation
    *    Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic supplier partnerships.
    *    Lead negotiations for high-value contracts and long-term supplier agreements.
    *    Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators and service-level expectations.
    *    Implement supplier development initiatives that promote innovation, reliability, and sustainability.

Leadership & Team Development
    *    Lead and mentor procurement team members, including purchasing managers and specialists.
    *    Ensure procurement policies and procedures are executed consistently across the organization.
    *    Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence within the procurement function.

Process Improvement & Innovation
    *    Introduce and implement procurement technologies such as ERP systems, e-procurement tools, and analytics platforms.
    *    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and transparency.
    *    Develop strategies to drive cost containment and improve sourcing processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
    *    Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on procurement performance, risks, and opportunities.
    *    Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, logistics, and quality to support business goals.
    *    Support strategic vendor negotiations and partnerships with key suppliers.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
    *    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
    *    7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing operations.
    *    Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing procurement teams or strategic sourcing initiatives.
    *    Experience in high-volume operational environments or complex supply chains strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies
    *    Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization strategies.
    *    Experience managing procurement operations within large-scale organizations is highly desirable.
    *    Strong analytical, financial, and organizational skills.
    *    Proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multiple business functions.
    *    Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments.





Compensation depends on experience but is typically $45-65/hr DOE
