Their portfolio includes projects valued up to $50M, and they continue to grow through repeat business and trusted partnerships.Job DescriptionThe Director of Preconstruction will be responsible for:Lead and oversee all estimating and preconstruction activities across the organization.Develop, mentor, and manage the estimating team while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Report directly to ownership and serve as a strategic advisor on project pursuits and company growth.Prepare and review conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and cost analyses for negotiated, hard bid, and design-build projects.Lead value engineering, constructability reviews, procurement planning, and subcontractor bid leveling.Develop preconstruction schedules, risk assessments, and cost control strategies.Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.Partner closely with Operations, Project Management, and Business Development to ensure successful project transitions.Support business development initiatives by participating in client presentations, interviews, and pursuit strategies.Continuously evaluate market trends, subcontractor relationships, and pricing to maintain a competitive advantage.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
