Director of Physician Recruitment

The Position

• The Director of Physician and Provider Recruitment is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for physician and advanced practice provider recruitment across Essentia Health.
• Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Management, this leader will oversee two direct reports and a team of 14 FTEs.
• Key responsibilities include modernizing and standardizing recruitment processes, strengthening technology and reporting capabilities, improving pipeline visibility and forecasting, and advancing a more proactive, data-driven approach to physician and provider recruitment.
• The ideal candidate will be an innovative, relationship-driven leader with strong executive presence and deep physician and provider recruitment expertise. This individual should be technologically savvy, comfortable leading change, and skilled at building relationships with physician leaders and executive leadership.
• This position offers remote flexibility with regular travel to Duluth, MN, Fargo, ND, and other key Essentia Health markets. Candidates must reside within or near Essentia Healths service area.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred.
• A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in healthcare, provider recruitment, or talent acquisition, coupled with at least three years of leadership experience.
• Professional HR certification, such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or AAPPR, preferred.

Compensation Range

• The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $185,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
