Connected Health Care is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to find an experienced Director of Pharmacy for a full-time leadership opportunity in Wichita, Kansas. This position is ideal for a hospital pharmacy professional ready to lead pharmacy operations, support patient safety, and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
Director of Pharmacy Job Description
Oversee daily hospital pharmacy operations and clinical services.
Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and medication safety standards.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, hospital leadership, and other healthcare professionals.
Manage pharmacy staffing, inventory, budgeting, and operational resources.
Develop and implement quality improvement and medication safety initiatives.
Participate in interdisciplinary committees and support organizational goals.
Promote a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused pharmacy environment.
Education & Certification Requirements
Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
Current and active Kansas Pharmacist License or eligibility for Kansas licensure.
PharmD preferred.
Additional pharmacy certifications are a plus.
Experience Requirements
Previous hospital pharmacy experience required.
35 years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience preferred.
Leadership or supervisory experience within a hospital pharmacy setting is strongly preferred.
