Job Description:
The Director of People and Talent will oversee the full employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition through employee engagement and retention. This individual will act as a trusted partner to leadership, ensuring HR practices align with organizational goals while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and refine recruitment strategies, including outreach to prospective and previously engaged candidates
Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring all new hire documentation (including employment eligibility verification) is completed accurately
Manage and guide background screening processes and hiring compliance requirements
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, directing questions to appropriate internal teams such as payroll, benefits, or HR operations
Provide guidance on employee benefits programs and support open enrollment and ongoing questions
Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee data, compensation updates, and timekeeping records
Maintain oversight of employee records, ensuring proper storage, organization, and confidentiality of HR files
Support system access and onboarding logistics, including account setup and internal tools
Build strong relationships with candidates, employees, and leadership through effective communication (phone and email)
Develop and implement people strategies that enhance employee engagement and retention
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive HR experience, with leadership exposure preferred
Strong knowledge of onboarding, compliance practices, and employment documentation (including I-9 processes)
Experience supporting or managing payroll and employee benefits administration
Familiarity with background check procedures and HR systems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of an organization
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and confidentiality standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
