    About The Role


    The Director of Padel at Banner House is responsible for leading, growing, and managing all padel programming at Banner House, an exclusive private racquet club, and PPH, the adjacent public racquet sports facility. This position is responsible for delivering an exceptional member and guest experience through innovative programming, outstanding instruction, first-class events, and strong staff leadership. The Director will oversee all lessons, leagues, clinics, socials, tournaments, and special events while expanding participation and introducing new players to the sport. The Director of Padel will also serve as a teaching professional, provide private and group instruction, and lead the padel professional staff to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience at both facilities.


    What You'll Do

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive year-round padel programming calendar for Banner House and PPH.
    • Grow participation through innovative clinics, beginner programs, leagues, social events, junior programming, and competitive opportunities.
    • Create structured player development pathways from beginner through advanced levels.
    • Develop introductory programs designed to attract new players from tennis, pickleball, and the surrounding community.
    • Continuously evaluate programming and introduce new concepts that increase participation and member engagement.
    • Teach private, semi-private, and group padel lessons for juniors and adults.
    • Provide high-quality coaching for players of all skill levels.
    • Develop player improvement plans and progression pathways.
    • Maintain a fun, energetic, and educational learning environment.
    • Stay current with teaching methodologies and industry best practices.
    • Recruit, supervise, mentor, and develop the padel professional staff.
    • Schedule instructors and coordinate teaching assignments.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings and professional development sessions.
    • Establish standards for instruction, professionalism, and customer service.
    • Perform regular staff evaluations and coaching.
    • Plan and execute:
      • Social mixers
      • Round robins
      • Team leagues
      • Club championships
      • Invitational tournaments
      • Charity events
      • Corporate events
      • Member appreciation events
    • Coordinate tournament logistics including registration, scheduling, draws, staffing, scoring, and awards.
    • Develop signature annual events that establish Banner House and PPH as premier padel destinations.
    • Coordinate daily court scheduling and programming between both facilities.
    • Maximize court utilization while balancing instructional, league, member, and public play.
    • Assist with equipment management, court maintenance coordination, and facility presentation.
    • Ensure all padel courts and surrounding areas maintain the highest standards.
    • Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and energetic padel community.
    • Build strong relationships with members and guests.
    • Encourage participation through exceptional customer service and personal engagement.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to member feedback and concerns.
    • Help create a culture that encourages long-term player retention.
    • Grow lesson revenue and program participation.
    • Assist in developing annual operating budgets.
    • Monitor program performance and recommend improvements.
    • Increase participation through creative programming and strategic planning.
    • Support retail and equipment sales related to padel.


    Qualifications

    • Certified Padel Professional (USPA, FIP, PTR, or equivalent preferred)
    • Previous experience teaching and managing a padel program
    • Strong instructional and player development skills
    • Experience organizing leagues and tournaments
    • Proven leadership and staff management experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and administrative abilities
    • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events
    • Passion for growing the sport of padel
